The tenth meeting of the provincial cabinet of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, convened Friday following a landmark decision by the Supreme Court regarding reserved seats, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In attendance were cabinet members, senior officials from the Board of Revenue, Additional Chief Secretaries, and relevant administrative secretaries.
Chief Minister Gandapur opened the session by congratulating his colleagues and party leaders on the Supreme Court's ruling, which upheld the province's stance on reserved seats.
"We had taken a principled stand on the issue of reserved seats, and today that stand has been vindicated by the Supreme Court," said Chief Minister Gandapur during the meeting.
He said that the court's decision recognized the rightful entitlement of the province to these seats, which had been a subject of contention.
CM Gandapur reflected on the challenges faced due to the absence of these reserved seats in the assemblies, emphasizing the collective effort of his team in achieving this legal victory.
"We all worked as a team and achieved success," he affirmed, thanking everyone for their steadfast support.
Looking ahead, Gandapur pledged to continue working collaboratively to uphold the rights of the province and its people, ensuring that their voices are effectively represented at all levels of governance.
