The ICC Wednesday released players rankings in the T20I format amid the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Pakistan captain and star batter Babar Azam has gone up one place to claim the 3rd spot in the ICC Men's T20I batting rankings.
Babar's rise in the ranking came amidst the intense criticism that he has gone through for the past couple of days.
Meanwhile, star India batter Suryakumar Yadav has retained at the top as he continues his domination as the No. 1 T20I batter.
England captain Jos Buttler moved up 2 spots to stand in 5th position. Australia's explosive opener Travis Head shot up 6 spots to make it to the top 10.
Afghanistan's veteran player Mohammad Nabi has claimed the No. 1 T20I all-rounder spot. His rise in the rankings came after a recent 2-wicket haul during Afghanistan's 84-run victory against New Zealand.
Nabi jumped 2 places to become the top-ranked all-rounder. Meanwhile, Australia's Marcus Stoinis rises 3 places to stand just below Nabi.
The previously No.1 ranked all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan, dropped to the fifth position in the rankings.
Not just Nabi, other Afghanistan players have also made significant advancement in the T20I rankings in bowling as well as batting.
Rahmamullah Gurbaz, the leading run-scorer in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 with 154 runs in 2 matches.
England spinner Adil Rashid held on to the top spot in the T20I bowlers rankings and Sri Lanka captain Wanindu Hasaranga retained the 2nd spot.
Captain Rashid Khan after his 4-wicket haul against New Zealand, claimed the 3rd spot. Fazlhaq Farooqi, after his five and four-wicket haul in 2 matches, moved up six places to own 4th spot.
