Peshawar Rapid Bus losses speeds to Rs6 billion

A project of previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Peshawar, has suffered losses of over six billion rupees during last two years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to official statistics, BRT generated Rs1.5 billion revenue while its expenditure was Rs4.5 billion in the financial year 2021-22.
Likewise, BRT has so far accumulated a deficit of Rs3 billion during the current financial year despite having incurred expenses of Rs5.9 billion and revenue of Rs2.3 billion.
