Committee formed to investigate attack on GHQ gate

A committee has been formed to investigate the violent protest and attack on a gate of the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi by the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The committee was formed under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zunaira Azfar.
The committee will include SDPO Cantt and SDPO City as members. The station house officers (SHOs) of RA Bazaar, Westridge and Civil Lines will also be members of the committee. The Investigation Support Unit in-charge will also be included as a member of the committee.
The committee will assist in completing the investigation of the case through technical and human intelligence sources.
A case of attack on a gate of the GHQ was registered at RA Bazaar police station.
The PTI workers including former provincial minister Raja Basharat were nominated as accused in the case.
