Army, jirga announce joint anti-polio campaign in Waziristan

In an attempt to eradicate polio from the tribal belt, the Atmanzai Jirga in North Waziristan has announced to launch a joint campaign with the Pakistan Army and the Government against the crippling disease, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In this regard a regional committee consisting of credible and senior leaders of Jirga has also been formed.

After the announcement of Jirga, future generations in North Waziristan will be protected from deadly diseases like polio.

Atmanzai Jirga also thanked the security forces and government agencies for creating awareness among the local people in this regard.

Atmanzai Jirga has said that the along with army we will participate in the prosperity and development of the country.
