The government has once again asked for more time from the Islamabad High Court to make the details of foreign gifts public. The court adjourned the hearing of the case on the government’s plea, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that if the government did not want to disclose the details of arms (defence) related gifts, it could conceal its details but it should make the details of other gifts public.

The judge wondered why the government was not revealing the details. Why it is abashed on revealing the details, he said adding that the gifts presented to the rulers were in fact public property.

“If a person does not hold a public office, he will not be presented any foreign gifts,” he remarked.
