PPP seeks permission for Oct 18 public gathering in Lahore

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has sought permission from the district administration for a public meeting on October 18 in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
PPP Lahore President Chaudhry Aslam Gill wrote a letter to the Punjab chief secretary for permission to hold the public meeting.
He requested in his letter to provide security for the rally in the main bazaar of Township.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the rally through a video link.
The PPP Lahore leadership has demanded that the district administration provide security to the public meeting and ensure traffic arrangements for the event.
Copies of the letter have also been sent to the home secretary, inspector general of police (IGP), capital city police officer (CCPO) and other officers concerned.
