An exhibition of posters, models, paintings, and a seminar was organized by the Department of Anatomy at Fatima Jinnah Medical University to mark World Anatomy Day.  


Prof. Dr. Attiya Mubarak, former Head of the Anatomy Department, Fatima Jinnah Medical University, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.


On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, along with his respected teacher, former Professor of Anatomy at King Edward Medical University Professor Dr. Taqiyya Sultana Abidi, inaugurated the Anatomy Scientific Models at the Department of Anatomy. They also cut the cake.


In the welcome address, VC Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal congratulated the Department of Anatomy and Head of Anatomy Department Dr. Aliya Zahid for organizing a successful event on World Anatomy Day. Prof Attia Mubarak said that the participation of students on the World Anatomy Day and their display of anatomy scientific models and posters are commendable.


She further said that Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore is the best institution of Higher Medical Education and today the students have shown their unprecedented skills.


Prof. Aliya Zahid expressed her gratitude to all the guests for gracing the occasion. She said that World Anatomy Day is celebrated every year in October to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of Anatomy.


Ex-Principal Prof. Noreen Akmal appreciated and congratulated the posters, models, and paintings made by the students.


During the seminar, students presented various presentations in context of World Anatomy Day.


President Anatomy Association of Pakistan Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sohail, Head of Anatomy Department King Edward Medical University Prof. Dr. Farhana Sajjad, Prof. Dr. Qurat Rahbar Medical College, Deans, Heads of Departments, and a large number of students participated.


At the end of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal presented the shield to the Chief Guest Prof. Atiya Mubarak and other guests.
