SHOs to be appointed at all police stations of Lahore for night shifts

Lahore police have decided to appoint supervisory station house officers (SHO) for night shifts after 10’O clock in all police stations of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In this regard Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi said that these supervisory SHOs will be in charge of all the affairs of the police station at night.

DIG further said that the supervising SHO has been named Night Patrolling Officer (NPO).

He said the Night Patrolling Officer will be in charge of, police pickets, check posts and will be responsible for any crime at night in his area.

DIG Ali Nasir Rizvi said that NPOs have been appointed in all eighty-four police stations of the city.

Night Patrol Officers are being posted to such officers who are qualified to be SHO, says DIG.

DIG said that officers who perform well as Night Patrolling Officer will be posted as permanent SHO.
