Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has made history by becoming the first footballer to reach 1 billion followers across social media platforms.

He celebrated this milestone on his X account. Ronaldo wrote: "We’ve made history of 1 billion followers! This is more than just a number it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond."

Ronaldo also holds the record for the most Instagram followers with over 638 million and recently launched a YouTube channel that gained 50 million subscribers within a week.
