Following the Speaker’s production orders, ten arrested members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) arrived at the National Assembly for the second consecutive day on Friday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the production orders, issued by the Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, included members Sher Afzal Marwat, Waqas Akram Sheikh, Zain Qureshi, Owais Jukhar, Aamir Dogar, Ahmed Chatta, Zubair Khan Wazir, Syed Ahad Ali Shah, Syed Naseem Ali Shah, and Yusuf Khan.
The arrested members were handed over to Acting Sergeant at Arms Farhat Abbas upon their arrival at Gate No 5 of the Parliament House. Yesterday, all the MNAs remained in Parliament until late at night, with dinner provided to them by the Speaker.
These 10 MNAs were arrested on last Monday night. Yesterday, they reached the Parliament House a day after Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq issued their production orders.
They were handed over to the acting sergeant-at-arms Farhat Abbas at the Parliament’s gate no 5 where security men were standing alert.
The PTI MNAs landed at the Parliament House about one and a half hours after the National Assembly session began.
The security staff led the PTI lawmakers straight to Speaker Ayaz Sadiq's chamber where they held a meeting with the custodian of the parliament and then attended the assembly session and addressed the colleagues. They told the House about the facts of the incident.
