Gold prices took a notable dip across Pakistan on Monday, reflecting a broader decline in international rates.
According to the latest figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs. 1,800, now standing at Rs. 338,800.
Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold witnessed a decrease of Rs. 1,543, settling at Rs. 290,466, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold dropped by Rs. 1,423, now priced at Rs. 266,261.
This local downward trend follows a global slump, with international gold prices falling $18, bringing the current rate to $3,218 per ounce.
On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged, providing some relief to the market. The price for one tola of 24-karat silver held steady at Rs. 3,234, while 10 grams stayed at Rs. 2,772. International silver also showed no movement, fixed at $31.30 per ounce.
Analysts suggest the market is closely tracking global cues, particularly from the U.S. Federal Reserve and geopolitical tensions, which continue to influence investor sentiment toward precious metals.
