Navy Command and Staff Conference reviews regional maritime situation

The Command and Staff Conference of the Pakistan Navy concluded at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf chaired the moot that reviewed the maritime situation in the North Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden and deliberated on measures for the safety and security of national sea trade passing through the region.
During the conference, matters related to geo-strategic milieu, national security, operational preparedness, training and welfare of troops were reviewed. A comprehensive briefing on important ongoing and future developmental projects of the Pakistan Navy was also given to the Chief of the Naval Staff.
The Naval Chief expressed confidence in combat readiness and the significant contribution of the Navy in the maritime domain.
Chief of the Naval Staff emphasized strengthening maritime security and maintaining combat readiness to effectively respond to any aggression against Pakistan. He urged on acquisition of niche and novel capabilities while exploiting indigenous sources to cope with modern-day challenges in the maritime domain.
The conference is the apex decision-making body of the Pakistan Navy in which the Chief of the Naval Staff along with all Principal Staff Officers and Field Commanders undertake a review of the Pakistan Navy’s Policies and Plans.
