Senator Bushra Anjum meets Dr Aafia Siddiqui in US jail

On the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a Pakistani delegation headed by Senator Bushra Anjum held a three-hour detailed meeting with Dr Aafia Siddiqi inside an American prison, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The delegation also met with the officials of the US State Department and American Congress.
After the meetings, Senator Bushra Anjum said that she held a very positive meeting with American officials and she is optimistic that American officials will take a final decision regarding detention of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui before January 20, 2025.
Senator Bushra Anjum said that she hoped that Dr. Aafia Siddiqui will be freed by January 20,2025.
