Lawyers in Lahore demanding withdrawal of the notification issued for the division of courts at tehsil level and the removal of terrorism-related sections from the cases registered against their colleagues again locked the sessions court on Monday to record their protest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The lawyers belonging to the Lahore Bar Association locked the courtrooms in protest, hence blocking the entry of judges as well as that of litigants.
The protestors, on the occasion, also shouted slogans demanding removal of terrorism-related sections from the cases lodged against Majid Bagela and their other colleagues.
Meanwhile, Lahore Bar Association President Rao Sammi said that the lawyers would continue to boycott the courts unless the notification issued for the division of courts at tehsil level was withdrawn. “We have sealed the courts because we want the betterment of our fellow lawyers,” he explained.
