Acknowledging that bringing no-trust motion against the government in the parliament was the opposition’s right, Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Monday that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government would not be scared but would face it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

However, he said that there was no unanimity of opinion in the opposition parties’ ranks over the no-confidence motion since there was a faction within the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) which was in its favour while the other was against it and demanded general elections in the country.

Qureshi asked the PML-N high-ups as to why they had gone to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s residence to seek his party’s support for the no-trust move. “After all, this goes against their ‘Vote ko izzat dau’ narrative,” he opined.
