Patient’s death triggers angry protest outside Lahore hospital

Police used batons to break up a furious protest outside Services Hospital in Lahore after the death of a patient due to alleged negligence of the doctors on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The family members of the 30-year-old patient staged an angry protest and blocked the Jail Road causing a traffic jam.

The family members of the deceased alleged that the doctors did not provide enough medical treatment to their patient after which he breathed his last.

The relatives of the deceased placed the dead body on Jail Road and disrupted the traffic flow demanded the authorities to launch a probe into the matter.

However, the police were rushed in who used batons to beat back the protesters and ensure the smooth flow of the traffic.

The police personnel also detained some protests, loaded them into their vans and took them away.
