Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide

Bollywood and TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly committed suicide at his home in Mumbai. The actor was living alone during the lockdown.
Police have reached his apartment but the reason has not been revealed yet. It is said that the actor wasn't feeling well for a few days. According to the reports, police have informed that the actor hung himself in his Bandra home. The post-mortem reports are awaited.
The actor was rumoured to be in a relationship with Rhea Kapoor and the couple was often snapped by the paparazzi around the city.
Sushant Singh Rajput earned massive fame with a TV show and made a successful transition to films. He marked his debut in Bollywood with 'Kai Po Che!' in 2012 and went on to deliver massive hits like 'PK' and 'Kedarnath'. His biggest hit till date remains 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'.
On the professional front, Sushant was to be seen in Mukesh Chhabra directed 'Dil Bechara' with Sanjana Sanghi. The film was an official remake of Hollywood hit 'The Fault in Our Stars'. "Dil Bechara" was supposed to release on May 8, but got postponed due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown.

Earlier on June 9, Sushant Singh Rajput's former manager Disha Salian allegedly committed suicide. As per news agency ANI, Disha jumped off the 14th floor of a building in Mumbai's Malad. The exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained. However, after interrogating her close friend, police said that Disha was suffering from depression for the last few days.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput took to Instagram to mourn the death of Disha Salian. In Instagram story, he wrote, "It's such devastating news. My deepest condolences to Disha's family and friends. May your soul rest in peace."
Sushant’s demise came as a shock to many as this is the fourth death of a famous personality from the Hindi film industry to pass away in the past two months, after Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer and Wajid Khan from the Sajid-Wajid duo fell prey to the coronavirus pandemic.
Condolences poured in from all quarters for the highly-talented actor who won several awards for his roles in movies like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, PK and Kedarnath.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic passing away of young Bollywood actor, a soul brimming with promise and possibilities #SushantSinghRajput. Our condolences to his family, loved ones and all those who admired his work. Gone too soon,” Youth Congress said on social media platform Twitter.
“Shocked & deeply saddened to hear about the suicide of talented & brilliant actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This unfortunate death of a young & successful individual brings issues related to mental health, particularly in these times, to the fore. RIP,” Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.
Sushant Singh Rajput was born in Patna. His brother Neeraj Kumar Bablu is an MLA. His sister-in-law is an MLC in the Bihar Legislative Council. He is survived by his elder brother, two sisters and father Dr KK Singh. Sushant lost his mother in 2002, when he was only 16 years old.
Sushant Singh Rajput had secured all-India 7th rank in AIEEE and finished his Mechanical Engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering. He had also won the Physics Olympiad. He joined Shiamak Davar's dance classes and later joined Barry John's acting classes to become an actor.
