Police arrest journalist Imran Riaz again after court discharged him from fraud case

Police have arrested journalist Imran Riaz again in another case after the court discharged him from the fraud case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The prosecution told the court that accused Imran Riaz made 250 million fraud with Al Rehman Real Estate owner Asad Arif who had given the accused this amount to seek DHA phase 9 files. The accused Imran Riaz neither gave the files to Asad Arif nor returned the cash.
Imran Riaz’s counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq told the court that the journalist was being implicated in a fake case as Imran Riaz was never involved in the files sales purchase business. He also told the court that the accused dealer Asad Arif remained the polling agent of Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Imran Riaz’s counsel urged the court to discharge the accused from the case. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the court discharge Imran Riaz from the fraud case.
However, when Imran Riaz came out of the court, police booked Imran Riaz in another case. Imran Riaz was re-arrested by police from Model Town Kutchery. Earlier Police presented Imran Riaz in the court in an armored vehicle.
According to a new FIR, Imran Riaz was accused of running over his vehicle on ASF personnel. Sarwar Road police station registered a case against the journalist who had reached Lahore Airport to leave for Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
