Special flights to repatriate 5,500 Pakistanis from Kuwait

Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis Sayed Zufikar Bukhari on Thursday held a teleconference with Pakistani community in Kuwait.

Zulfi Bukhari said it was decided to operate special flights to bring back 5,500 stranded Pakistanis in Kuwait. He said four special flights would be operated in two weeks to bring back all the Pakistanis stuck in Kuwait.

The SAPM said that now the country has been able to bring back 12,000 Pakistanis from abroad in a week. He said the data of all the unemployed workers would be available on the portal. He said that such workers would be given loan under Kamyab Jawan Programme announced by the Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The SAPM also announced sending 600 health workers to Kuwait to fight Covid-19. He said the decision was taken on the request of the Kuwaiti authorities. The health workers include doctors and nurses. He said this initiative would boost bilateral ties between both the countries.
