On September 22 last, an Army soldier was also martyred in an attack on a Pakistani post from across the border in Bajaur. The soldier embraced martyrdom in the firing that came from across the Afghan border. The soldier was identified as 24-year-old Sepoy Sabir Shah.

The ISPR had then said that Pakistan had been consistently raising the issue for border management on the other side to avoid the use of Afghanistan’s soil against Pakistan.
