48 students of Multan board get 100pc marks as Punjab boards announce intermediate results

There were some surprising results as Punjab educational boards declared the much-awaited results for the intermediate part-II results, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, some 48 students from the Multan board secured 100 percent marks while 7265 students secured marks above 1000. The success rate in Multan was 98.64 while only 2461 absent students were declared failed.
There are also 24 students from Faisalabad Board who got 100 percent marks in the intermediate examinations.
Lahore Board also announced a pass percentage of 98.71. Announcing the results, the board chairman said the students could check their results by sending an SMS on 80029. “The students will get five per cent grace marks in compulsory subjects,” he added.
He further said the document of promotion policy had been prepared to keep in view the coronavirus situation. He said that those students who failed to appear in the intermediate exams would have to sit in ‘special exams’ to be held later.
Gujranwala board announced a pass percentage of 98.81 as 148560 students declared pass out of 150353 students.
Faisalabad board declared the results with a pass percentage of 98.59 as 109,970 students declared pass out of 111,547 students. Students can get their marks by sending an SMS to 800240.
However, the boards have not announced the toppers this year due to the shortened nature of the examinations due to coronavirus. There is also a huge number of students who had been declared pass after giving the grace marks, however, the educationists have raised concerns over the future of such students as according to them these students who have been passed with D grade would face hurdles in future.
