27 Palestinian students reach Lahore for medical education

First batch of 27 Palestinian students arrived in Lahore from Gaza via flight GF-764 to seek medical education in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.


President Al-Khidmat Foundation Dr Hafeezur Rehman and other government officials welcomed the students at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA).


Earlier, Pakistani envoy in Egypt and representatives from Al-Khidmat Foundation said goodbye to Palestinian students on Cairo Airport.


He said that during their stay in Pakistan these Palestinian students will seek medical education with the support of Global Relief Trust and Doctors of Rehman.


President Al-Khidmat Foundation said that during the first phase, 198 Palestinian students will arrive in Pakistan through different flights.


He lauded the efforts of Government of Pakistan, Embassy of Palestine, and Embassy of Pakistan in Egypt for their support and facilitation.


He said that these Palestinians students will get medical education, while other facilities such as accommodation and necessary items will also provided to them. He thanked the relevant medical colleges and universities for their support.


Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that Al-Khidmat Foundation actively taking part in relief and rescue operations in Gaza from the first day.
