As the country is still reeling from the motorway rape case, more incidents are being reported from different parts of the country with the latest one being witnessed in Shujabad where a teenaged girl was raped and murdered, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

But it wasn’t the first time that she had been raped as a maternal uncle of the victim girl said the accused had assaulted her in the past too but a local panchayat pardoned him despite the heinous nature of the crime.

According to details, the 12-year-old girl was found dead at her home after being strangled. Although the heirs were against in medical examination, police opted for post-mortem which showed that she had been killed after a sexual assault.

The officials from Saddar Police Station say they have registered a case and are conducting raids to capture the accused who has been identified as Saqlain.

It is said that the accused targeted the girl who was alone at her house and later fled the scene after killing her due to worsening condition.

Earlier, a gang-rape was reported in Taunsa where two locals sexually assaulted a mother of two in front of her children for entire night at Basti Lashari located near Taunsa.

The incident had occurred a day on the night between Wednesday and Thursday as the victim, Asma Bibi, managed to identify her rapists.

However, police again showed a lethargic and insensitive approach as the case was registered and medical conducted 24 hours after the gang-rape.

In this connection, her father, Zameer Hussain Lashari, said they were first sent to the Retra Police Station and then to the office of the area DSP. Similarly, they were first sent to the hospital in Tibbi and later to the main health facility in Taunsa, he added.

However, the test was conducted only after the victim’s family staged a protest on Friday night.

Lashari said no one was paying attention to him for being a poor labourer as he demanded immediate arrest of the accused and swift justice for her daughter.

Meanwhile, it was later reported that the two accused had managed to get bail before arrest from a local court in Taunsa.

The motorway gang-rape have triggered a strong reaction across the country with protests held in different cities and towns, as the people are demanding a strong action against the culprits involved in such crimes.
