Country put in right direction: PM

The country has been put in the right direction, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday.

Talking to PML-N parliamentarians, he stressed the need to work hard to bring in progress and prosperity.

He said: “The time has come to change the situation in Pakistan. Economic indicators are showing that the direction of the economy is correct.

The interest rate will further decrease. A cut in policy rates is a relief for investors and industrialists.”

He said the government is striving for IT development. “The burden on the salaried class will be reduced,” he added.

He hoped that this would be the last IMF programme, saying: “Pakistan will soon get rid of the difficulties. 'Working hard to eliminate tax evasion.”
