PTI MNA and former health minister Aamir Mehmood Kiani called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday, sources said.

According to the sources, the prime minister hinted at assigning important responsibilities to Kiani during the meeting, as the Supreme Court was unhappy over the performance of Adviser to PM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza.

The meeting lasted about 35 minutes in which both the PTI leaders discussed the current situation of coronavirus in the country, tiger force and Ehsaas Cash Programme. Sources said Prime Minister Imran Khan gave Kiani task related to political strategy and party structure.

On the other side, Prime Minister Imran Khan showed displeasure at Dr Zafar Mirza’s performance during the Supreme Court proceedings, as the Supreme Court on Monday expressed anger at government performance vis-à-vis containment of coronavirus outbreak in the country. The prime minister said that Dr Zafar Mirza failed to present government steps against coronavirus before the court.
