Tally of recovered coronavirus patients rises to 1,446

The total number of reported coronavirus cases reached 5,998 after the virus was found in 272 more people during the last 24 hours, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the number of active cases stands at 4,435 as 1,446 patients have so far fully recovered.

According to the figures released by the National Command and Control Centre, 11 people lost their lives in the same period, meaning that the death toll has now jumped to 107.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has witnessed most number of deaths which currently stands at 38 followed by Sindh 35, Punjab 28, Gilgit-Baltistan three, Balochistan two and Islamabad one. Fortunately, no death has so far been recorded in Azad Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Punjab tops the list of most number of reported cases with the figures currently standing at 2,945. It is followed by Sindh 1,518, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 865, Balochistan 248, Gilgit-Baltistan 234, Islamabad 140 and Azad Kashmir 46.
