Prominent political figures of the sitting governments have paid homage to the Mother of Pakistan Bilquis Bano Edhi for her selfless services to humanity.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari expresses regret over the death of Begum Bilquis Edhi, widow of Abdul Sattar Edhi and paid homage for her selfless services.
Zardari said the Pakistani nation will never forget the services of Abdul Sattar Edhi and Begum Bilquis Edhi.
Former premier Mian Nawaz Sharif has said in his message from London that he was deeply saddened by the death of Bilquis Edhi. He said she was a very kind woman who had the pain of humanity.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed sorrow over the death of social activist Bilquis Edhi and said she was a positive face of Pakistani.
Bilawal Bhutto said from raising orphans to marriages of homeless girls, Bilquis Edhi's services are unforgettable. He added that she had also saved thousands of children’s lives through the Edhi Foundation’s Jhula project.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Bilquis Edhi and appreciated her social services.
Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) head Shah Zain Bugti expressed grief over the death of Bilquis Bano Edhi and said she was a brave and courageous woman.
PPP Women Wing President Faryal Talpur also expressed deep sorrow on her death and said Bilquis Edhi served humanity by standing shoulder to shoulder with her late husband Abdul Sattar Edhi.
Faryal Talpur expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Faisal Edhi and other members of the bereaved family.
