Celebrated Pakistani actress Anoushay Ashraf took to her social media and raised her voice regarding the bad access to internet services across the country nowadays.

She questioned the purpose of celebrating Independence Day on August 14 knowing the current state of the internet with multiple channels barely functioning and in turn, affecting countless people’s jobs.

Here are the exact words stated by the actress:

“From demanding to get PAYPAL to begging to get INTERNET. We are heading to STONE AGE.

“The internet is barely working, voice notes won’t download and even Facebook is crawling. Freelancers on Fiverr are getting their accounts suspended and you still feel like celebrating August 14th.

“Seriously? Basic cheezon se b reh gye hum log to.

“They want to keep us poor, uneducated, and underpaid forever.

“That’s how they will hold their power long term!
