CDA’s Director General Land arrested by FIA in illegal allotment case

Director General Land at Capital Development Authority (CDA) was arrested by FIA after the cancellation of his pre-arrest bail in illegal allotment case on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Special Judge central Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case against Afnan Aalam, Director General Land in CDA.

During the hearing, Afnan Aalam’s counsel pleaded that his client was not issued prior notice of an inquiry in the allotment case.

While FIA already told the court that investigation of the case had been completed then why FIA was seeking arrest warrants.

Director General Land’s counsel further pleaded that under Afnan Aalam’s authority only balloting of the plots was made while the accused was not included in the allotment.

Meanwhile FIA prosecutor requested the court that further investigation was required as the accused allotted 11 plots to others in out of total 62 allotted plots.

After the completion of arguments, the court canceled the pre arrest bail of Director General Land. And FIA officials arrested the accused from the court premises.
