Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidate from Sialkot and Usman Dar's mother Rehana Imtiaz Dar is set to approach the Lahore High Court to assign her same election symbol for the National as well as Provincial Assembly seats, reported the 24NewsHdTV channel.
According to details, Rehana Dar is contesting from NA-71 and PP-46 simultaneously while she is allotted the symbol of Jhula (Swing) for the national assembly seat and drill machine for the provincial assembly.
Hee lawyers held that the election commission did an injustice to Rehana Imtiaz Dar by allotting her separate election symbols for the National and Provincial Assembly seats.
“We had requested the district returning officer that Rehana Dar should be given the same election symbols from both constituencies, but the authorities paid a deaf ear to their request,” the lawyer said adding that now we have decided to go to Lahore High Court with the same plea.
In another case, PTI candidate and Rehana Dar’s daughter-in-law Ruba Dar who is contesting from PP- 46 has been designated the election symbol of coconut.
