Asad seeks special flights to bring back Pakistanis stranded in Kuwait

National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has taken up the matter of smooth repatriation of Pakistani expatriates stranded in Kuwait due to the coronavirus outbreak with the ministers concerned.
He took up the matter with the ministers for aviation and interior as well as the special assistant to prime minister for overseas Pakistanis and human resource development for opening up special flight operations from and to Kuwait on a weekly basis.
In the wake of the ongoing wave of novel coronavirus, a significant number of Pakistani expatriates stranded in Kuwait wants to return home and is constantly demanding regular operation of special flights from and to Kuwait.
Furthermore, there is a sizeable number of expatriates stranded in Pakistan and they want to return to their country of residence. In the absence of regional passport offices in their zones, they travelled long journeys for renewal of their travel documents.
In order to alleviate the sufferings of the expatriates, Asad Qaiser took the matter of the regional passport offices with the minister of interior and called for expansion of the network of regional passport offices so that genuine grievances of the expatriates could be addressed.
