Railways announces summer schedule

The Pakistan Railways (PR) has announced the summer schedule, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The timings of various vehicles have been changed and the revised timetable come into effect from April 15.
The Hazara Express will depart from Karachi at 7:35 instead of 07:00, the Pakistan Express will depart from Karachi Cantt at 14:00 instead of 13:30, and the Millat Express will depart from Karachi Cantt at 17:30 instead of 17:00.
The Tezgam will depart from Karachi Cantt at 18:00 instead of 17:30 and the Allama Iqbal Express will depart from Karachi Cantt at 18:30 instead of 15:30.
All remaining vehicles will continue to operate as per the previous timetable
Reportedly, the Pakistan Railways has allocated around Rs2 million more funds for completing the renovation and construction of a platform of Shaddadpur Railway Station, to be spent during the current financial year.
“Shaddadpur Railway Station, operating with three platforms, is one of the important stations situated on mainline where most of the mail and express trains have their stoppages,” an official in the Ministry of Railways told APP here Wednesday.
