Over 70 stalls destroyed at Sasta Bazar in Rawalpindi

A terrible fire erupted at the popular Sasta Bazar located on Misrial Road in the Chauhar Chowk area of Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
The blaze, which broke out during Iftar time, quickly spread through the Ramazan bazaar, engulfing dozens of stalls and causing panic among the citizens. The fast-moving fire raised alarms about its potential spread to nearby residential zones.
Rescue teams were immediately called to the scene. Rescue 1122 personnel, along with many local volunteers, sprang into action to combat the flames. Their prompt response and collective efforts helped in controlling the fire.
The operation saw more than 30 firefighters and 11 rescue fire tenders working tirelessly to douse the fire. Thanks to their valiant efforts, the fire was eventually brought under control. However, the aftermath was grim, with more than 70 stalls reduced to ashes.
Currently, rescue workers are conducting a thorough search operation in the affected area to ensure no one is trapped or injured.
