Jail employee rapes woman in Jhelum

A jail employee allegedly raped a woman and escaped from the crime scene in Jhelum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to police, accused Saqib Sohail raped the woman in a private hotel.

The victim woman came to the sessions court in connection with the case and the accused lured and took her to the hotel, the police said.

Evidence of abuse was found in the initial medical report of the victim, police added.

The accused has fled from the spot after the rape and will be arrested soon, police claimed.

Meanwhile, the jail administration said the accused was dismissed from the service already for illegal and unethical activities.
