The Punjab government approved the purchase of 600 new buses across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

As per details, a budget of 50 billion rupees will be allocated for the purchase of buses in the new financial year.

A total of 300 eco-friendly buses will be purchased for Lahore from which 27 will be electric buses.

Yesterday, the transport department submitted the estimated amount for the buses to the government.

These buses will be on different routes for public transport in Lahore.

Moreover, Lahore needs more than one thousand buses in total
