Smog disrupts flight operation at Lahore Airport

Smog at and around the Lahore airport affected the flight operation on Thursday.

As fog and smog thickened later in the evening on Thursday, visibility decreased to 50 meters on the runway. 

As a result, Saudi Air flight SV738 coming from Jeddah to Lahore was not allowed to land at the Lahore airport. The flight was diverted to Islamabad. 

Karachi to Lahore Serene Air flight ER 524 too was diverted to Islamabad. 

The Lahore to Dubai Emirates flight EK 623 will leave the Lahore airport after a 13 hour delay due to smog and fog. 

The Lahore to Abu Dhabi flight EY285 will leave after nearly six hours behind the schedule. 

The Lahore to Riyadh Fly Naas flight XY 317 will leave after seven hour delay. 

The Dubai to Lahore Emirates flight EK 622 will arrive in Lahore after a delay of almost 11 hours. 

The Abu Dhabi to Lahore flight EY284 will arrive here with almost six hours of delay.
