CM Naqvi pays tributes to rural women on their day

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Sunday that none could deny the importance of the role played by rural women in the progress of a society, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message on the eve of International Day for Rural Women, he said that rural women were extremely hardworking, and he saluted them for their services for the society and the country.
“The hard work done by women living in villages resulted in record production of cotton this year,” he said, adding, “The agriculture sector can be further developed by organizing rural women who are an important workforce.”
The chief minister further said that rural women could be empowered by educating them, and the Punjab government was making efforts in this direction. “Giving complete rights to these women is the government’s responsibility,” he said, adding, “Pakistan will develop only when women living in rural areas will develop.”
