The Sindh government has released funds for the treatment of noted artist Umer Sharif, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The government will leave no stone unturned to facilitate the legend, Murtaza Wahab said.
He said issues related to visas will be resolved soon.
Murtaza's statement comes a day after Umer's wife Zareen Ghazal said the family was waiting for the visas.
A report cited the son of Umer as saying he cannot provide a timeframe.
A Pakistani cardiologist, who is the husband of actor Reema Khan, will treat Umer Sharif at George Washington University Hospital in the US.
In a video message last week, the veteran comedian requested the government to help him get treated abroad.
The federal government announced it formed a medical board to decide if the actor should be sent abroad or not.
