In an unusual move in the country, the Sarafa Bazar (gold market in Pakistan) failed to fix and release the prices of yellow metal second consecutive day on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, dealers of the yellow metal in the market are reportedly withholding rates due to fears of a crackdown against the speculators.
The authorities have initiated actions to arrest the speculators in the gold business and started investigations into four of them.
To avoid any legal action or arrest, the speculators of the gold market have gone underground which has created some uncertainty in the gold market.
