The father of Ghazanfar Ali, a member of the national hockey team, has passed away, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Ghazanfar Ali is currently playing in the ongoing Asian Hockey Champions Trophy in China.
The funeral prayer of Ghazanfar Ali's father will be held in Dingshah Kasur today after the Zuhr prayer.
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) president Tariq Bugti, head coach Tahir Zaman, Captain Imad Butt, team management and players expressed their grief over Ghazanfar Ali.
Due to the important matches of the national team, Ghazanfar Ali decided not to leave the team and return to the country.
Pakistan's hockey team has to play a semifinal match against China tomorrow, and Ghazanfar Ali will represent Pakistan in the semi-finals.
