The Prophet (PBUH) was a sacred soul and personality of words. His words and deeds were so strong that even disbelievers and polytheists had been ready to swear about his integrity. The people had trust in his honesty. Even his worst opponents would feel satisfied in handing over their trusted belongings to him. Before leaving for Ascension, the Prophet (PBUH) handed over all the trusted belongings of the people to Hazrat Ali (RA).

He was concerned about his Ummah even on the occasion of Ascension. He was so patient and grateful that he bravely endured the shock of the martyrdom of his beloved uncle Hazrat Hamza (RA). Even on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, he forgave cruel woman Hinda, who hired a savage killer to get Hazrat Hamza (RA) martyred. Again with high spirit on the historic occasion of the conquest of Makkah, he declared general amnesty for all the enemies. After the conquest of Makkah while saying goodbye to the people the visionary and insightful Prophet ( PBUH) made it clear that the last Devine religion of Allah had been completed. For eternal guidance of Ummah he left the Qur’an and his blessed Sunnah behind so that the Ummah continues to seek guidance.

The Prophet (PBUH) Introduced rules and regulations and code of conduct for every matter. He said that during peace or war we should never give rise to lawlessness and disorder. Laws of peace and war were also introduced by him. Even at war, he taught practical lesson of not harming the children, women, elders, crops and trees of the enemy. He always remained true to his words. He always gave importance to the fulfilment of the promise. Honesty was another distinction of his personality. He never spoke rudely and inappropriately to anybody.

If we want to gain a commendable place in ethics and politics at the national and international level by cleaning the national politics from myths and if we want to get high position, respect and success as politicians, we need to get rid of the chaotic environment in today’s national politics. One is to seek guidance following the Prophet (PBUH) while choosing to be independent. The Prophet (PBUH) forbade Muslims from hypocrisy. In the light of teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), we should be engaged in the construction of the country and the nation by ending mutual differences and attain pride and dedication. We need to follow the Prophet (PBUH) to build character of our young generation.

We have to make our generations capable of serving the country and the nation. Not only in politics and diplomacy, honour and success can be achieved by fully following every sphere of life of the Prophet (PBUH). The Prophet (PBUH) established the standards of justice and fairness that will be a beacon for humanity until the Day of Resurrection. By fully following the Prophet (PBUH), Pakistan’s 140th rank in the world in terms of justice and fairness can be brought to the first rank. Those who completely follow the Prophet (PBUH) can never be at number 140 in the courts of justice. Rightly, we can restore our lost dignity only by getting guidance from the Prophet (PBUH). It is very sad that the justice situation of Pakistan is at the lowest place in the world ranking.

The Prophet (PBUH) set an example of patience, wisdom and steadfastness. An old lady dared to throw garbage at the Prophet (PBUH) every day. One day when garbage was not thrown by the old lady the Prophet (PBUH) enquired about her. He came to know that the old lady was ill, so he visited her to know about her well-being. The proof of his mercy to the world was also given when he was stoned by the people in Taif. On this unpleasant occasion, Hazrat Jibraeel (AS) appeared within no time and said that if there was a command, those insolent brats who lived among the mountains of Taif valley would be crushed. But the Prophet said no. He added, “Maybe anyone of these people become a believer”. So it happened. Despite his pacifism, he led the Muslim army in many wars against the infidels. He (PBUH) established the rules and regulations of wars as well.

Despite being a leader and commander of the army on the occasion of the battle of the Trench, during the digging of the trench, he worked even harder than his companions. Be it politics, diplomacy or routine life, he never lied. He never slandered or accused anyone in his private, social and political life. He disliked and rejected the politics of lying and blaming. To learn more and more lessons from the life of the last Prophet (PBUH) we need to organise international Seerat conferences from time to time. The PMLN government’s endeavour in this regard is highly commended.
