Marriyum demands Hamza’s release

April 16, 2020 08:32 PM

PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb has demanded the immediate release of Hamza Shehbaz Sharif from the jail.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Marriyum said: “Illegal detention of Hamza Shehbaz for the past 10 months is the worse example of political victimisation by the NAB-Niazi tag team.”

The former Information Minister said: “Despite their best efforts, with all resources and power at their disposal, the NAB-Niazi unholy alliance has not been able to file a single reference against Hamza. They have failed to present single actionable evidence or plausible proof against Hamza. They couldn’t even accuse him of money laundering or corruption in public money.”

Marriyum said this is going all while the inquiry against Jahangir Tareen, Khusro Bakhtiyaar and others has been put in cold storage by NAB. Hamza’s only crime is that he is the nephew of Nawaz Sharif and the son of Shehbaz Sharif, she said.
