Pakistani film ‘Joyland’ wins another award and many hearts

Pakistani film “Joyland” has bagged another award at Indian film festival of Melbourne for “Best Film from the Sub Continent.”
The movie revolves around a story about a very delicate social issue that involves a boy, whose birth was very waited and craved for, and a transgender, who he falls in love with. The main plot of the film is about their impossible Love story and all the hurdles and consequences they face.
Social issues in Pakistan related to trans-genders are the ones which should be discussed and found solutions for but sadly they are considered a taboo.
This sensitive film is written and directed by Saim Sadiq with the help of Maggie Briggs and casts the new and senior actors like Sarwat Gillani, Sania Saeed, Rasti Farooq and Ali Junejo. It also casts a Trans actor Alina Khan
The star cast and the whole crew is very delighted as they have received much love and support from the public who has seen the movie. The reviews by the critics for the movie are also saying that the movie is a masterpiece and everything in it is excellently done.
