Taking a jibe at former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani’s statement that the government should not allow any other airline to operate in the country besides Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted: “Such were the ‘great men’ whose advices brought destruction to the national institutions.”
The information minister further stated: “These people are still obsessed with Marxism. If the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not nationalise the state institutions in 1970s, we would have been a global economic power today.”
