The affiliation of thousands of private schools with education boards across Punjab is at risk after not getting extension in their registration, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In this regard, head of the Pak Awan-e-Taleem Qazi Naeem Anjum has demanded an immediate extension in the registration of the schools.

An important meeting regarding registration of private schools across Punjab, change in syllabus of 9th class and training of teachers according to the new curriculum was held in Lahore on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by the head of the Pak Education House, Qazi Naeem Anjum.

Addressing the meeting, Qazi Naeem Anjum said that private schools are facing difficulties in affiliation with education boards due to non-availability of online registration.

Qazi Naeem Anjum said that private schools were supposed to apply for affiliation with education boards by December 31.

School Education Department should issue registration to private schools as soon as possible, Qazi Naeem Anjum demanded.

Private schools have not been able to apply for affiliation due to closure of registration, Qazi Naeem Anjum said.

He demanded that due to change in syllabus of 9th class, the education department should provide training to teachers of private schools along with government schools.

Low-fee private schools established within the limits of LDA given concession in payment of taxes, Qazi Naeem demanded.

Sealing private schools in the LDA scheme is causing educational losses to children, Qazi Naeem Anjum said.

General Secretary of the Pak Pak Awan-e-Taleem Hassan Minhas, President Sadaqat Lodhi and Faisal Gilani were also present in the meeting.

Others included Mian Yousuf, Mian Fahad Tanveer, Rana Mushtaq, Mian Ijaz, Rana Aftab, Mian Shafqat, Chaudhry Nazir, Sheikh Khizr, Imran Nasir, Anees Usmani, Shahnaz Hameed, Zeb Nisa and Usman Arif were also present.
