Winter vacation extended in AJK schools, colleges

Winter vacation in government and private educational institutions of Azad Kashmir has been extended till January 4, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Education Department has issued a notification to extend the winter vacations.

Education Department said due to severe winds, the dry cold has intensified due to which the vacation has been extended.

This came a day after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had extended the winter vacation until January 6 due to the ongoing cold wave.

All the educational institutions had been notified about the extension in the winter vacation. Now the educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will reopen on January 7 instead of January 1.
