A two-member delegation of Transport Canada, presently on a visit to Pakistan, has inspected the aviation security system at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

During their four-day stay in the country, members of the delegation, transportation security inspectors Barbara and Abdul Tahir, will assess the enforcement of different aviation security protocols.

The inspectors will also inspect the special security arrangements made for the Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) direct flights to Canada.

A spokesman for the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has said that Transport Canada’s delegation’s visit to Pakistan is a continuation of the efforts being made for further improvement in aviation security.

Earlier, Air Commodore Shahid Qadir welcomed members of the delegation on arrival at the Civil Aviation headquarters at Karsaz, Karachi.
