Dilapidated police station draws minister’s ire

The dilapidated condition of a federal capital police station drew Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s ire on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The minister visited the Karachi Company Police Station at G-9 Markaz in Islamabad. He inspected the front desk, crime computer and FIR branch and took rounds basement, ground and first floor of the station.
The Interior Minister met the citizens at the police station and listened to them.
He scanned the front desk records and reviewed the progress of the applications. He directed to process the applications within the stipulated period.
He directed SHO to take appropriate action to resolve the issues of citizens.
On the request of a citizen, he assigned SHO the task of arresting robbers within 7 days.
The minister also inspected the police officers’ barracks.
He expressed disappointment over the poor policing and mismanagement, saying it was his first visit and he was very disheartened to see the condition of the police station.
He directed the cop concerned to bring in betterment at the earliest.
