PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said whosoever talks about the supremacy of the Constitution is labelled as a traitor, reported 24News HD TV channel.
Maryam Nawaz was addressing a public gathering on Sunday at the residence of PML-N MNA Javed Latif in Sheikhupura, where she went to express solidarity with the family of the PML-N leaders currently in prison on treason charges.
Addressing the party workers, Maryam said that she had brought the message of Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif for the people of Sheikhupura. She said if you labelled the people as traitors for their questions about the supremacy of the Constitution, then everyone was a traitor in this country.
Maryam said by labelling Javed Latif a traitor the government, in fact, had labelled the people of Sheikhupura traitors. She said Javed Latif, with his unwavering stance on what is right and true, had paid his debt of being a son of the soil.
Maryam said Nawaz Sharif and she herself were labelled as traitors. She said that if speaking of the truth, of the supremacy of the Constitution, law, and institutions is traitorous, then we will do this treachery again and again.

Maryam said that those who have opened factories to issue decrees of someone being a traitor must listen up now. She said when you were afraid, and have lost, and cannot bear to listen to talk of the supremacy of the Constitution, you issue certificates of treachery.
She said now the people were not afraid of being arrested. She said the people, who used to be afraid, were with Javed Latif now.
Maryam said they had labelled Nawaz Sharif a traitor but now even he was in London but still people were calling for him from every nook and corner of Pakistan.
She said they dubbed him a thief and plunderer and traitor, but now his discourse was spread everywhere.
She spoke of the Daska by-election, saying the people took the respect the vote slogan to their hearts, guarded their vote, and then took it back when it was stolen from them.
She said they had reclaimed all the seats which were taken from them. She said she wanted to tell the people who were the real traitors of the homeland. But, she said, the people already knew this fact.
Nawaz Sharif has awakened the 223 million masses of the country after making a lot of sacrifices. She said the traitors were those who compromised on Kashmir.
She said betrayal was to humiliate the diplomats online while everyone was watching. She said traitor was the one who deceived people and the country and played with the lives of the people and make them a beggar.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz visited Mian Javed Lartif’s house in Sheikhupura to show solidarity with the detained MNA and his family.

The FIR stated that the PML-N leader not only spat venom at the country’s integrity but also against the state institutions; that he sowed the seeds of hatred and distrust between the workers of the PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP); tried to create chaos in the country and instill fear in the hearts of people through his statement, and that he, by issuing anti-government, anti-state and anti-institutions statements, had committed a criminal act.
